Reader feedback: Automakers see Slovak talent

Re: Reader feedback: Good for Slovakia, Volume 11, Number 1, January 10 - January 16, 2005

Slovaks are talented, hard-working people. No wonder that automakers are racing to open factories there.

Slovaks were looking up to the US even during Communism. If they just keep doing that they will be in good company going in the right direction. Czechoslovakia was the "little America" in Europe before World War II, and they will be back soon. Hey US: Do NOT disappoint them this time!

Píšem or pišám?

"Do ľava," (to the left) I yelled, "Nie, do prava" (no, to the right), I gasped. "Dolšie," I screamed. "Nie, nie, horšie..." My Slovak girlfriend collapsed in laughter. Was it something I said?
