THE NATIONAL Bank of Slovakia made a loss of Sk36.3 billion (€939.7 million) in 2004, the TASR news agency wrote.
The non-audited economic outcome is connected mainly with exchange rate losses of the NBS, which total Sk29.8 billion (€771.4 million).
Last year the Slovak crown's exchange rate firmed by 5.75 percent against the euro and by 13.44 percent against the US dollar, NBS spokesman Igor Barát told the TASR news agency.
