SLOVAKIA is slow to adopt EU legislation, the European Commission (EC) stated. The EC said that Slovakia's shortfall amounts to 99 EU directives, reported the TASR news agency.
Of 25 EU member states, Slovakia is 23rd with only Latvia and the Czech Republic lagging behind.
Slovakia's Deputy Prime Minister Pál Csáky assured the EC that the country would markedly reduce the number of missing directives from its legislation by the end of March.
