Bush-Putin to be commemorated

SLOVAKIA will commemorate the Bush-Putin summit on February 24 by issuing a special stamp and a medal to celebrate the occasion.

The Slovak Post Office will issue 100,000 of the new stamps.

The stamp shows Bratislava castle with both presidents' names and the words "Slovakia Summit 2005" on a blue background.

Sales of the stamp will begin February 24.

The stamp will be officially unveiled at the Incheba exhibition complex, which is being converted into a press centre for the summit.

The stamp was designed jointly by the Enterprise advertising agency and the Slovak government's summit committee. The Kremnica mint is currently preparing a commemorative medal for the summit, the TASR news agency reported.
