More than 1,500 journalists accredited for summit

THE SUMMIT meeting between the American and Russian presidents in Bratislava had attracted 1,520 journalists by the February 18 deadline, the SITA new agency reported.

About 1,000 of these journalists are from abroad.

Juraj Tomaga, spokesman for the Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry, said that this number is not final because accreditation applications are continuing to arrive.

In most cases the ministry is granting even these late applications.
