US is preparing travelling visa map

THE USA is preparing a so-called "travelling map" for central Europe on the issue of visas, said Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič after his morning meeting with US President George Bush in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava, the TASR newswire reported.

The Slovak President was the first Slovak official to meet President Bush on Thursday.

Bush and his wife Laura arrived at the Presidential Palace in the centre of Bratislava with a large delegation including US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

The Slovak president and his wife, Silvia, welcomed George and Laura Bush.

After entering the palace Bush signed the Book of Guests.

Later he and the President Gašparovič held bilateral calls. Laura Bush and Silvia Gašparovičová had some time for a personal talk in the Golden Hall in the palace.
