Hrubala tapped as Special Court judge

ON THE Judicial Council's recommendation, Justice Minister Daniel Lipšic has nominated Ján Hrubala for the post of Special Court judge, the TASR news agency reported.

"The Judicial Council decided by a majority - 12 votes - that it would recommend that President Ivan Gašparovič appoint Hrubala as a judge and assign him to the Special Court," Judicial Council Chairman and Supreme Court Chief Justice Milan Karabin told journalists on March 8.

This is the second time that Hrubala has been selected. During his earlier selection in October 2004, he won the votes of eight Court Council members.
