Kechnes could employ 30,000

KECHNEC's Mayor Jozef Konkoly claims that up to 30,000 people could soon be working at the Kechnec industrial park near Košice, East Slovakia, according to the SITA news agency.

So far, investors have created around 1,000 jobs but that figure is set to rise steeply.

So far nine international and Slovak investors are operating or setting up operations at the park. Infrastructure is still being developed on the 332-hectare site, said Mayor Konkoly.
