PERFORMANCE: Reconstruction of World War II Military Action - On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Bratislava, military history enthusiasts reconstruct part of the battle for the city, which took place April 2, 1945.

EXPERIMENT and Typography, or E-A-T, presents a selection of contemporary typographical works by 42 Slovak and Czech artists. Drawings and notes give visitors an idea about how individual fonts were created. They show the process, from first idea to realization, in posters, books and magazines. The project, which has already been showcased in Brno and Prague, is on display at the Médium Gallery on Hviezdoslavovo námestie 18. It is open daily (except Monday and Thursday) between 10:00 and 17:00. On Thursday it is open from 12:00 to 19:00. Visitors can see the exhibition free of charge until April 15. Tel: 02/5443-5334.

LIVE MUSIC: From Chanson to Pop - Students from the Dezider Kardoš School of Music in Topoľčany perform songs from the 1960s to the present.

EXHIBITION: Alien Bodies - This touring exhibition is the outcome of an initiative from Eastern-Central European artists who live in Germany. By inviting artists from various countries to the exhibition, they show how different identities are formed through intercultural cooperation.

EXHIBITION: Retrospective - The display, already showcased in Bratislava, presents the complete graphic works of famous Slovak graphic artist Albín Brunovský.

THE AIM of the biennial competition in iconography, which is organized by the Vlastivedné Múzeum in Trebišov is to establish closer cooperation between artists of the Carpathian Mountains region. The grand prix in the first year went to Polish artist Jerzy Wojtowics. He was one of 20 artists from Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia, who entered more than 50 icons between them into the contest. Visitors can view the icons until April 16. The Vlastivedné Múzeum (Homeland Museum) is located at MR Štefánika 257/61, Trebišov.
