Jobless rate still high but falling fast

EUROSTAT data revealed that Slovakia's unemployment rate fell to 15.6 percent in April.

Although the figure is still the second highest in the EU, it represents one of the most rapid declines in the EU for the given month, together with Lithuania and Estonia, the TASR news agency reported.

Of the EU member states, the highest unemployment rate in April was in Poland - 17.9 percent, while the lowest rate was registered in Ireland - 4.2 percent.
