Technopol offers mobile operator services

SLOVAK company Technopol Internacional is connecting key customers to its new, first full-area, digital radio network, called Radiopol, using so-called Tetra technology, the TASR news agency reported.

The company announced that it was offering its services as a third mobile operator in Slovakia.

"Technically, we are the third mobile operator. The basic difference [is that], while mobile operators provide telephone services, that is individual communication between participants, the main service offered by a digital radio network is group communication. That means radio communication between an individual and a group," said Tibor Lorincz, the director of Technopol Internacional's Radiopol business group.

The system also allows communication between two parties, as well as connection to other operators' voice and data communication networks.
