VÚC election date announced

SLOVAKIA’S Higher Territorial Units (VÚC) election will be held November 26, Parliamentary Chairman Pavol Hrušovský announced on June 3, the TASR news agency reported.

"If necessary, a run-off election will be held on December 10," Hrušovský added. Slovak political parties must submit lists of candidates for the VUC election by October 17.

Parliamentary Chairman Hrušovský decided to set the date of the VÚC election on November 26, after consulting with the Statistics Office and Interior Ministry.
