Registered jobless rate drops

THE REGISTERED unemployment rate fell 0.54 percent month-on-month in May to 11.33 percent, 3.14 percent lower year-on-year, according to data from the National Labour Office.

The number of unemployed ready to take up a job was 293,071, which is 85,700 down year-on-year, the SITA news agency reported.

In total the labour offices registered 330,751 unemployed in May.
