Cabinet starts regional projects

A PLAN drawn up by the Construction Ministry and recently approved by the government sets aside Sk270 billion (€6.9 billion) for 350 regional infrastructure projects in the next three years, the Pravda daily wrote.

"This plan refers to about 350 preferred projects requested by the ministries and Higher Territorial Units (VÚCs)," said Mária Sedlárová of the Construction Ministry.

The money will go mainly towards the construction of highways, sewage systems, water supplies, and to repairs to some schools and hospitals in the regions.
