New US Ambassador arrives in Slovakia

THE NEW United States Ambassador to the Slovakia Rodolphe M Vallee arrived in Bratislava yesterday, the daily SME reported.

He will replace Ronald Weiser, who served in Slovakia until December of last year.

"I am humbled to arrive in a country that is the economic marvel of Europe, a beacon of democracy to the world and a great friend to the United States of America," Vallee said in a statement.
