Kukan meets new US Ambassador to Slovakia, Rodolphe M. Vallee

SLOVAK Foreign Affairs Minister Eduard Kukan met with the new US Ambassador to Slovakia, Rodolphe M. Vallee, 44, who presented copies of his credentials, a ministry spokesman told the TASR news wire on August 19.

Both representatives acknowledged the close relationship between Slovakia and America. They also discussed the development of mutual relations, as well as a new visa regime.

According to Vallee, US President George Bush appreciates Slovakia's contribution and attitude to the military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan.
