Hrušovský: Slovakia supports UN reforms

SLOVAKIA will support United Nations reforms and help solve suffering outside its borders, Speaker of Parliament Pavol Hrušovský said at a conference on September 9. He was speaking in the run-up to a meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York on in the run-up to the UN General Assembly in New York.

At the conference of some 160 parliamentary chairmen from all around the world, Hrušovský spoke about respect for human rights and democracy. According to him, the powers of legislatures should be strengthened mainly in tackling issues such as the protection of human rights, democracy and the fight against terrorism.
