Smer wants early elections

SMER is the sole effective and democratic alternative to the current governmental crisis, Smer leader Robert Fico said, following a session of the party’s Presidium in Trenčianske Teplice on September 17, the TASR news agency reported.

The party’s presidium asked Smer MPs to support a bill that would lead to elections as soon as possible. According to Fico, Smer would not take on any governmental responsibility without parliamentary elections
