THE NEW Economy Minister, Jirko Malchárek, said he would announce tenders for top managerial posts at major Slovak companies next week including Slovenské elektrárne, Transpetrol, Slovenský plynárenský priemysel and others in which the state has a stake.
The minister said that he intends to introduce professionalism into the companies as well as thoroughly examine the qualifications of the current managers, the TASR news agency reported.
The minister offered cooperation with NGOs such as anti-corruption watchdog agency, Transparency International and the Fair Play Alliance.
"It will be a rather quick process. We will try to complete the tenders within two weeks of their announcement," said Malchárek.
