ÚVK members selected

EDITA Orbánová and Eva Polačková have been chosen as the chairwoman and deputy chairwoman, respectively, of the Central Electoral Commission (ÚVK) ahead of the November 26 regional elections, the TASR news agency wrote.

The ÚVK has 15 members. Each political party or coalition with representatives in at least half of Slovakia's eight higher territorial units (VÚCs) can delegate a member to the ÚVK.

The ÚVK's main task is to manage the activities of regional electoral commissions and publishes the official results of elections.
