CONCERT music from 16 Years of Freedom filled the centre of Bratislava on the rainy eve of November 17, the Day of Fight for Freedom and Democracy. Concert goers in Bratislava's SNP square lit candles in memory of November 17, 1989, when massive protests galvanized the country, leading to the peaceful end to Communism and the start of democracy. SNP square was one of the central points of the demonstrations.
