Mečiar released from hospital

ON NOVEMBER 15 the chairman of the opposition Movement for a Democratic Slovakia, Vladimír Mečiar, was sent home after spending several days in hospital where he was taken with a serious case of pneumonia.

Pavol Sedláček, head of the Trenčín hospital, confirmed to the SITA news agency that Mečiar's condition had improved after the few days of intensive care.
