Banks post Sk12.5 billion profit

COMMERCIAL banks in Slovakia ended the first 10 months of this year with an aggregate net profit of Sk12.5 billion (€330 million).

Most of the banks posted profits for the given period. Just one loss of Sk4.9 million (€129,000) was registered, the National Bank of Slovakia announced.

The aggregate volume of loans provided to clients reached Sk357.6 billion (€9.44 billion), of which mortgage loans represented Sk51.5 billion (€1.36 billion).

Client deposits reached Sk688.5 billion (€18.17 billion), the SITA news agency reported.
