The ambassador also visited the local cemetery, where his brother and grandparents are buried and the actual site of his birthplace.

In the afternoon, Obsitnik visited Michalovce. On December 20, he plans to meet Humenné mayor Vladimír Kostilnik and representatives from the municipality in Adidovce. Obsitnik will end his working visit on December 21 with a meeting with Košice region (VUC) chairman Zdenko Trebula and a visit to the InfoUSA Centre in Košice.

During his visit to Prešov, Obsitnik confirmed that looking after the inflow of investments from the USA to Slovakia, which amount to some $900 million so far, will become the priority of his diplomatic mission.

Obsitnik, 69, also assured Košice residents that Slovakia is on the course to a visa-free regime with the USA. TASR
