UPC Broadband Slovakia (UPC) is considering participating in the tender for a fourth mobile operator in Slovakia. The Telecommunications Office will most likely publish the tender by the end of March.

UPC is currently undergoing re-branding, but its director general, Martin Maťašeje, did not provide any further details at a news conference on February 11.

After ten years on the Slovak market, UPC is changing its logo and introducing a new corporate vision.

Maťašeje explained that the company is trying to calm clients' concerns about complicated modern technology by offering them simple solutions. The company has already reduced the number of its Internet products from the original seven to three. All three programmes offer unlimited data downloads, but at different speeds, the SITA newswire wrote.

UPC is also planning to expand the digital TV service it provides in Bratislava to other towns across Slovakia.
