State budget deficit stood at Sk4.115 billion in June

The state budget deficit reached Sk4.115 billion (€136 million) at the end of June, increasing from Sk3.097 billion (€103 million) in May, it was announced on July 1. The June 2008 deficit is an improvement compared with the same period last year, when it stood at Sk10.999 billion (€364 million). Further details on the budget show that incomes in the first six months of this year reached Sk156.208 billion (€5.2 billion) or 44.9 percent of total expected incomes for 2008 - Sk348.252 billion (€11.5 billion). State expenditures for the same period came to Sk160.323 billion (€5.3 billion), which is 42.2 percent of total expected expenditures for this year - Sk380.233 billion (€12.6 billion). The 2008 state budget deficit is planned to reach Sk31.981 billion (€1.1 billion). TASR
