THE BRITISH EMBASSY has announced that Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, will pay an official visit to Slovakia this autumn.

The visit comes at the invitation of Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič, the SITA newswire wrote.
In addition to Slovakia, the Queen will also travel to Slovenia.

This will be the first official visit of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh to these countries. Their sons Charles and Andrew have visited Slovakia on previous trips.
At present, the embassy has revealed no further details about the visit.
