EXHIBITION: ANDREJ Balco presents Domésticas, a series of images showing scenes from everyday life in Brazilian households, in the House of Photography in Liptovský Mikuláš. With this project, Balco, a contemporary Slovak documentary photographer, continues his work on this topic.Balco started depicting workers in 2004 in his series Suburbs. He continued that topic when he photographed illegal workers in eastern Europe in his project Sunday Wishes (2006). After he received a grant to stay in Brazil, he choose servants and their masters as the topic of his next project. His portraits ofBrazilian households juxtapose servants and their masters – the world of reality and dreams.
