University of Žilina
Founded in 1953 as the College of Railway Transport.
In 1980 it was renamed the College of Transport and Commu nications. It has study and research programmes in transport (roads, railways, water transport, air transport), transporta tion construction, electrotechnics, telecommunications, in formation technologies, communications, machine industry, and similar fields.
