Euphoria over Slovakia’s women’s basketball team’s victory

Slovak women basketball players were the first team to win over the host Latvian team at the European Championship in Riga on Saturday, June 13. Although the Slovak team was losing in the first half, 19 to 32 in the 16th minute, they staged a strong comeback in the remainder of the game.

Thanks to this victory, the team proceeds to the quarter-finals, where they meet the Greek team on June 15 at 14:15, the SITA newswire wrote. The whole team and their coach, Pokey Chatmanová, are very happy about this unexpected result.
