Bratislava EXHIBITION: Galéria NOVA in Bratislava has organised an exhibition, a specialised project of painter Ján Triaška, who ponders the leitmotif of Christmas, consumption and the art of installation. It combines photographs with the theme of Christmas gifts within glass light boxes. This picture shows one part of his installation, called Christmas Present 2008, which can be viewed at the gallery on Baštová 2 until January 31, 2010. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Concert at the Austrian Cultural Forum – Florian Kitt from Graz playing cello and Rita Medjimorec from Vienna on piano, two outstanding Austrian musicians, perform works by Robert Schumann, Franz Koglmann, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt and Richard Strauss.

MOTOCROSS:
For a third time Košice’s Steel Arena is hosting the popular Sony Ericsson Freestyle Motocross – but this year several surprises await visitors. Top racers will participate, including Jose Miralles, the vice champion for 2009, Jack Rove from the US, Australian Steve Mini, and others. Libor Podmol will meet two-time world champion Remi Bizouard in a surprise one-on-one duel. Another lure will be an attempted back flip on a snow-scooter by Joisten Stenberg from Norway.
