Residential real estate prices fall again

According to the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS), the average price per square metre of residential real estate dropped to €1,297 in the fourth quarter, down by 1.9 percent from the previous quarter and 12.3 percent from last year, the SITA newswire reported.

The average price per square metre of residential real estate in Slovakia in 2009 was €1,344, down 11 percent year-on-year.

In the previous two years, 2007 and 2008, house and apartment prices grew significantly, by over 20 percent per year.
