EXHIBITION/FOLKLORE: The past and the future of Slovak embroidery – An exhibition in the private Galéria X displays the fine art and craft of Ina Pašteková-Budovská for the first time as well as embroidery on skirts from different parts of Slovakia.

DANCE: Sen noci orientálnej – The Oriental Night’s Dream is an annual presentation of oriental belly dancers, oriental music, oriental disco, and other attractions at the Culture Centre in Vajnorská. This year’s event features a foreign performer, Bri Hurley, along with numerous Slovak performers.

EXHIBITION: Viktor Malinovský – Karikatúry. Arranged by the artist’s son, the exhibition provides an overview of the caricatures of the famous Bratislava artist.

LIVE MUSIC: Desmod – The popular Slovak group often heard on radio and winner of several musical awards can be enjoyed live at the Planet Club in Trnava.

EXHIBITION:IN THE Small AKCENT Gallery in Nitra, the public can view an exhibition called “Man in Perils" (Človek v ohrození) prepared by renowned Slovak set designer, scenographer and artist Fero Lipták. The gallery hosts two dozen bright and often funny pictures from his recent creation. The gallery is open every day from 10:00 to 19:30 until March 10. EXHIBITION: Grafika symbolistov – Graphics of the Symbolists is an exhibition organised with the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic offering works by world-famous Czech artists such as M. Švabinský, J. Zrzavý, J. Váchal and others.

ICE HOCKEY: Aquacity ŠKP Poprad vs. K-Cero Nitra. The popular sport of ice hockey has a huge following across Slovakia, especially in some towns and cities, and Poprad undoubtedly belongs among them. Some duels this season have been extremely heated and this game is expected to continue in that tradition.

CLASSICAL MUSIC: Poézia a dráma – This concert by Jerzy Swoboda and Pawel Kowalski from Poland will feature works by F. Chopin and S. Rachmaninov and is called Poetry and Drama to evoke the contrasting atmosphere of these two composers and musicians.
