THE PRESIDENT of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, and his wife will arrive for a two-day state visit to Slovakia on April 6.
He will depart from Bratislava for the Czech Republic and hold a summit meeting with US President Barack Obama at which the two presidents are expected to sign a new treaty to reduce the strategic nuclear arsenals of both countries.
Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič will host a ceremonial dinner for Medvedev on April 6 and the two will hold talks and sign bilateral agreements the next day. Medvedev will also meet Prime Minister Robert Fico and Speaker of Parliament Pavol Paška and will attend celebrations of the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Bratislava by the Soviet Army at the end of WWII.
