Bratislava I Regional Court permitted restructuring of Air Slovakia with its ruling dated March 31, the SITA newswire wrote. Vladimír Neuschl was approved as the restructuring administrator and the court called on creditors to register claims within thirty days since approval of the restructuring process. The spokesman for the court, Pavol Adamčiak, provided this information to the SITA newswire on Wednesday, April 7.
Adamčiak further stated that the court examined the restructuring evaluation drawn up by the administrator and because all materials are in line with the legislation, approval for the restructuring process was granted. The decision is final and cannot be appealed. The administrator will decide on the further course of the restructuring process.
The Slovak civil aviation authority Letecký Urad SR has temporarily lifted the suspension of Air Slovakia’s air operator’s certificate (AOC) until the end of April according to information on the sme.sk internet portal, citing Transport Ministry spokesman Stanislav Jurikovič. Afterwards, the airline will have to file for a new certificate. The Transport Ministry has not yet decided whether it would also renew the validity of the trade license for the airline, which would allow it to sell plane tickets.
