Flashback to 1994: HZDS has another election campaign song

After using the “hit” song Vivat Slovakia in its 1994 election campaign, the Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) has opted for another campaign song titled “Slovakia our patria”, the Sme daily reported.

After using the “hit” song Vivat Slovakia in its 1994 election campaign, the Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) has opted for another campaign song titled “Slovakia our patria”, the Sme daily reported.

In 1994, Vivat Slovakia was recorded by several HZDS members, including Vladimír Mečiar and the current President Ivan Gašparovič.

Authors of the “Slovakia our patria” song remain unknown since they did not wish to publicise their names. The ownership rights belong to Salus, a company 100 percent owned by HZDS.
