Slovakia’s ice hockey team advances to the next round of World Championship

At the 74th IceHockey World Championship in the German city of Cologne, the Slovak team beat Kazakhstan 5:1 in the Lanxess Arena and will advance to the next round as the second team in its group.

The players with goals were Čiernik (two and named the best player of the match by the Ice Hockey Federation), Zagrapan, Tatar, and Podkonický. The Slovak team will now play against Finland, Germany and Denmark. The next match is May 14 against Denmark, the Sme daily wrote.
