Slovakia’s parliamentary election which will be held on June 12 has been fully prepared organisationally and technically, said Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák at a press conference on June 1, as reported by the SITA newswire.
The election is expected to cost €8 million. The election materials weigh about 700 tonnes, and 82 million ballots have been printed and will be later transported with the use of 20 trucks.
There will be 5,929 election districts, each with its own commission, as well as 50 regional election commissions and the Central Election Commission.
The estimated number of eligible voters is 4.3 million. Of this number, 6,390 voters with permanent residence in Slovakia and 568 permanent residents in other countries registered to vote by mail in this election.
