The contest was held in 2009 by the Slovak Centre of Design and the exhibition includes more than 70 different kinds of toys, books by graphic designer K. Prudil, and a children’s corner where visitors can play. The exhibition called Čas na hru/Time for Play was successfully presented at the International Book Fair in Bologna, Italy. FEAST OF ROSES:
THE PARK and mansion in Dolná Krupá hosts the third year of the Feast of Roses/Slávnosť ruží with a rich cultural programme on June 19 and 20. The event is organised to commemorate Countess Mária Henrieta Choteková, whose rose garden near the mansion was at its height at the beginning of the 20th century. Slávnosť ruží offers discussions with R. Geschwind and M. H. Choteková, both famous experts on rose cultivation, and also presents the musical tradition of the mansion – connected in the past with Beethoven – that now operates as a museum of music. The Wall – umenie na hranici – Art on the Border. Together with the Polish Gallery BWA in Bielsko-Biala, the gallery offers a project of street art and graffiti that ends with a workshop open to all.
