Bratislava EXHIBITION:

IN THE Bratislava City Gallery/Galéria mesta Bratislava, an exhibition opened on the occasion of the issuance of a special postage stamp dedicated to the work of famous Slovak painter, graphic artist and illustrator Albín Brunovský, called V Zrkadle času – In the Mirror of Time. Until September 12, visitors can view his illustrations, especially from the Modrá kniha rozprávok/The Blue Book of Fairytales, from Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 to 18:00, in the Pálffy Palace. OPEN-AIR CINEMA: In the Horský park (Mountain Park) forest cinema, every Friday, June through August, 30 movies will be shown in 12 screenings, sometimes even with their authors present. EXHIBITION: Júlia Kunovská – Drôt a plech/Wire and Metal Plate 1985-2010. The exhibition of interior items and jewels of this Slovak designer create a 15-year retrospective of her work.

EXHIBITION: Víza k slobode - Visa to Freedom, Spanish Diplomats and Holocaust – The Podhradie exposition of the Slovak National museum, the Spanish Embassy and Casa Sefarad-Israel offer an exhibition describing the help of Spanish diplomats to Jews and other Holocaust victims.

RELIGIOUS MUSIC: Musica sacra 2010 – The festival of religious music culminates with a concert dedicated to the memory of Ss Cyril and Methodius performed by Dámsky komorný ochester (Ladies Chamber Orchestra) and the Mixed Choir KYRILLO-METHODEON with works by Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Bortňanský, Ladižinský and Novosyolova.

EXHIBITION Dialógy 010 by famous Slovak painter, illustrator and graphic artist Karol Ondreička is being shown in the Galéria u sediaceho anjela/At the Sitting Angel Gallery in Kežmarok. MODERN DANCE: OUTBREAK EUROPE – This international event, one of the biggest of its kind in Europe, will bring bboy performances (commercially known as break-dance) and battles in various categories, graffiti-jam, hip-hop workshops, exhibitions and much more.
