A SLOVAK-German project won a prestigious award from the German UNESCO commission in mid March. Programme manager Radoslav Plánička informed the TASR newswire that the project is one of 86 new projects declared official projects of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development for 2010-2011.
The project that won recognition, the Green School – environmental management with involvement of students, is a joint activity by the Slovak environmental centre Živica and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Umwelterziehung, supported by the German foundation DBU.
