Transport Minister Figeľ names new general directors at two state railway companies

Transport, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Ján Figeľ on Thursday, September 16, replaced top managers at two state railway companies – ZSSK and Cargo, the ministry's press department told the TASR newswire. The general director of the rail passenger transport company ZSSK, Milan Chúpek, was replaced by the current head of the ministry's department for rail transport and railways, Pavol Kravec.

The general director of the rail passenger transport company ZSSK, Milan Chúpek, was replaced by the current head of the ministry's department for rail transport and railways, Pavol Kravec.

A manager from the banking sector, Pavol Ďurinik became the new general director of rail freight company Cargo. The post was vacant for several weeks as Figeľ dismissed the former head of the company, Matej Augustín, shortly after becoming minister.
