Slovakia’s foreign minister, Mikuláš Dzurinda, met the secretary general of the Council of Europe, Thorbjorn Jagland, at United Nations headquarters in New York on Wednesday, September 22.
The topic of their discussion was the Roma issue, which has recently escalated in France. “Europe's problems with the Roma ethnic group will not be solved by information catalogues,” said the Dzurinda, who called for specific actions instead of words, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Juraj Tomaga told the SITA newswire.
