Representatives of Slovakia’s Trade Union Confederation (KOZ) are in Brussels to take part in a European demonstration set for Wednesday, September 29. It is being held to protest against cuts in national budgets.

According to trade unionists from across Europe, the cuts are at the expense of employees and citizens of individual EU countries. A 52-member KOZ delegation has joined the demonstration, representing a Slovak union membership base of 360,000 members. They are seeking job security and social justice. The demonstration in Brussels is being labelled European Action Day.
