Peter Pilinský was re-elected as chairman of Slovakia's Green Party (SZ) at the party's congress in Bratislava on Saturday, October 9, the TASR reported.

In addition, the delegates to the congress reiterated the party's commitment to protect people's health by making sure that current as well as future generations will live in a healthy environment.

All governments have failed, to a greater or lesser extent, to tackle so-called "green" issues, the congress said in a statement. The Green Party said that it will strive to win over voters who follow a healthy lifestyle, care about the environment and support renewable sources of energy.
