The Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) parliamentary caucus will be led by SaS MP Jozef Kollár, who was selected in a secret vote by the caucus members on October 11, the TASR newswire reported.
Kollár, who defeated Martin Poliačik and Kamil Krnáč in the vote, will replace SaS chairman Richard Sulík, who resigned as caucus chairman due to his extensive workload as Speaker of Parliament.
"He can't be the chairman of Parliament as well as the chairman of the caucus, because the caucus has to deal with a big agenda," Sulík's personal assistant Tatiana Tóthová told TASR at the end of September, adding that this change was anticipated from the beginning of SaS’s entry into parliament.
