Approximately 3.6 million travellers used Ryanair flights to and from Bratislava since the airline launched operations in Slovakia five years ago, the company's sales and marketing manager for Slovakia, Alexandra Konigová, announced in Bratislava on Tuesday, October 12.
Marking the 5th anniversary, Konigová said that Ryanair has gradually boosted the number of its Bratislava routes to reach 21 this summer. Back in 2005, a total of 63,000 passengers boarded Ryanair's flights to and from Bratislava. The number swelled to 800,000 in 2009, and one million are expected this year, she said.
