Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak will visit Slovakia in the next few days, the Slovak Defence Ministry press department said on Wednesday, October 20, as reported by the TASR newswire.
Barak's official visit to Slovakia will take place just a few days after his Slovak counterpart Ľubomír Galko visited Israel. While he was in Tel Aviv, the two ministers discussed options for co-operation in the fight against international terrorism, in the defence industry, and in the operations to defuse unexploded devices. During his three-day visit, Minister Galko also informed the Israeli side about the austerity measures introduced by the Slovak Government in order to consolidate the country’s public finances.
