A SIGNIFICANT US investor might create up to 600 new jobs in eastern Slovakia, Economy Minister Juraj Miškov said on Tuesday, October 19, the TASR newswire reported.
“The investor is choosing between Slovakia and Poland,” Miškov said, adding that the decision regarding the location of the investment, described as “higher value added”, should be made by the end of 2010.
If the investor decides on Slovakia, the first new employees could be hired in autumn next year. The investment would be located in the vicinity of Prešov and linked to the Technical University in Košice.
