U.S. Steel Košice gets National Quality Award for 2010

U.S. Steel Košice was named the winner of the 11th year of the National Quality Award on November 8, the TASR newswire reported.

U.S. Steel Košice was named the winner of the 11th year of the National Quality Award on November 8, the TASR newswire reported.

Representatives of the company, as well as other organisations receiving awards, were handed their prizes by President Ivan Gašparovič and Jozef Mihók, the chairman of the Standardisation, Meteorology and Testing Institute in Slovakia.

The National Quality Award is the most prestigious national award given to businesses and organisations for quality improvement efforts. Altogether 32 organisations were competing for the top award, comparing to 12 in 2009 and only four in 2008.
